Through the Venus Collective: Model Residency
This spring, for the first time ever, eight fine art nude artists will be coming together to live at Montaia Basecamp, a regenerative co-living space in the Eastern Sierra Mountains of California.
Our Venuses will be available for private bookings the whole month of May through the Venus Collective.
Who are we?
Venuses de la Tierra Tours (Venuses of the Earth) is an eco-feminist collective and multi-day guided art nude photography tour. We provide an immersive wilderness experience that invites photographers to find ecological empowerment and develop a strong, authentic connection to the land and self. This event is for creatives who seek diverse outdoor landscapes, enjoy peer-to-peer learning with other artists, and desire to “push their creative edges” in the natural world.
Venuses de la Sierra Tours strives to create an environment of collaboration and support amongst both our models and our photographers. We aim to build strong community bonds as well as provide a transformative artistic experience for all. For any tour that you sign up for, you will gain access to vast expanses and pastures scouted exclusively for your own personal experience!
New destinations for you! In 2023, in addition to the Eastern Sierra (Venuses of the Sierra), we will be venturing into newer terrain, including Death Valley (Venuses of the Valley), the Central Coast in California (Venuses of the Coast), and Cuba (Venuses of Cuba)–all of which are under the umbrella of Venuses de la Tierra (formally known as Venuses of the Sierra).
All levels of experience are welcome to apply! Priority will go to photographers with at least entry-level photography experience.

This experience is ideal for those who love shooting in rare locations that require more effort to get to. These locations are featured exclusively on this tour and require 4wd.
This tour includes camping and self-guided astro-photography.
This tour is designed for photographers who are able to trek 3+ miles and tolerate altitudes between 8-11k. Photographers are advised to train in advance and to provide their own camping gear for the overnight trip. But have no fear! We have plenty of downtime and assess the schedule based on photographer’s physical needs.

This tour is ideal for photographers who cannot make our scheduled tour dates, prefer to collaborate in a 1-on-1 setting, or desire to shoot at very specific locations in one of our destinations.
Location options include (but are not limited to):
• Buttermilk Boulders, Volcanic Hot Springs, Eureka Sand Dunes, Happy Boulders, Owens River Gorge, Mono Lake, Obsidian Dome, Ancient Bristlecone Pines

Lodging:
Photographers will be in charge of their own lodging and transport during their time in the Eastern Sierra. Options can be found in both Mammoth Lakes and Bishop, CA. We recommend planning your trip for at least 4-5 days so you can take time to enjoy the vast beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains!
